Prof Ching-Piao TSAI

Currently practicing at the Neurological Institute, Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, TAIWAN.

Initial medical degree obtained from China Medical College, Taichung, TAIWAN, in 1980.

Research Fellow and Postgraduate degree (Master of Medicine) obtained from University of Sydney, Sydney, AUSTRALIA, 1987 - 1989. Research Fellow in Biomedical Medicine, Virginia University, U.S.A., in 1995. Research Fellow, Utano National Hospital, Kyoto, JAPAN, in 1985.

Current President, Taiwan Neurological Society, TAIWAN.

Board of Directors, International Alliance of Motor Neuron Disease.

Board of Directors, Orphan Drug Committee, Department of Health, TAIWAN.

Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University, TAIWAN.

On the editorial board of Acta Neurologica Taiwanica (vice-chief editor), Taiwan Critical Care Medicine, Chinese Medical Journal (Taiwan).

Awarded an Outstanding Researcher award by the National Science Council (Taiwan) in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998. Awarded Best Doctor award by Veterans General Hospital, in 1983 and 1992.

Current research projects and special interests: acute neurological syndrome, motor neuron disease and nerve regeneration.

Numerous publications in a broad range of neurological disorders
